The purpose of the Youth groups at Shades Valley is to allow youth to explore their relationship with God and develop friendships with other Christian teens through activities, service projects and team building activities.
We have two Youth groups: Junior High Youth and Senior High Youth. Both groups meet on Sunday nights. On meeting nights, there is a meal followed by instruction in the Lutheran faith (catechetical training) for the Junior High students. The Senior High students have a reinforcement of the morning's Sunday School lesson followed by a business meeting where they plan and discuss service projects, fund raising, social activities and youth led worships services.
