At SVLC, our form of worship is known as "liturgical," meaning literally "a work of the people." Thus, when we are able again to gather for in-person worship, you will witness the assembly standing, sitting, kneeling, and responding through words, songs, prayer, and silence. In other words, for Lutheran Christians, worship is not passive, it is very much an active experience - "a work" in which we all participate.
At SVLC, our worship is formal, but relaxed; ancient, but contemporary; and unapologeticaly eclectic musically. We value beauty as a gift from God found in the human voice, in art, poetry, lyric, and natural materials used to appoint our sancturay.
Currently, due to the pandemic, we are gathering for outside worship simulcast on Zoom and YouTube livestream. To access the ZOOM feed, please see our calendar page. The YouTube livestream will also be hosted here on our website.
